BRADFORD Bulls may be in the third tier of rugby league, but they have showed that they can still be top notch when it comes to promoting a match.

A video entitled We Are On Our Way is on Bulls TV, and with head coach John Kear's words added to some seminal pictures in anticipation of 'The Game of the Year' at home to York City Knights on Sunday, it is small wonder that Bulls player Elliot Minchella confessed: "That promotional video that came out makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up."

In a video that shows the good times and the bad, Kear states: "This is Odsal, these are our streets, these are our routines, this is our home.

"These are our Sundays, our Friday night specials, our colours, our flags, our pubs, our gates, our mates, our crest.

"These are our terraces . . . this is the field where we once watched legends in the making."

He added: "These are the reasons to look forward to the end of the week to round off a perfect weekend.

"This is the team that we will always adore; for others it is support; for us it is a way of life.

"They have a stadium, we have a home; they have a coach, we have a guardian; they have supporters, we have a family; we are Bradford, we are on our way."

But Minchella is not making any distinction between second-placed York and the other eight matches that remain where the leaders are concerned.

He said: "We need to win them all. We are not thinking that we can afford to slip up at any stage."

As for facing the Knights in what should prove a pivotal clash, he admitted: "I am really looking forward to it.

"These are the games that you want to play in and I am sure that the fans are going to get behind us and give us their support."

Last Sunday's 36-16 victory at Hunslet was as tough as Minchella expected.

"I am just getting my breath back," said the second-rower afterwards.

"We talked Hunslet up all week and we paid them a lot of respect but we needed to beat them.

"Coming to South Leeds is always tough. They have some smart players and it is a massive win, absolutely huge.

"They challenged us really well and it was a massive performance, especially by our middles.

"They are a top-four or top-five team so it was a massive win for us and we have knocked a tough one off."

Kear praised the Bulls' middle men afterwards, and Minchella said: "It was not just me. It was Callum Bustin, Steve Crossley, Sam Hallas, James Green, who had an awesome game on his debut and really made a difference, and Pelts (Ross Peltier) as well off the bench.

"It was a bit of a middles game with the weather and we got on top of them and got on the front foot."

Minchella also praised returning hooker George Flanagan, who, like Ashley Gibson, scored two tries.

"It is nice to have George back as he is a leader and an important member of our team, and we have missed him.

"When Strath (Duane Straugheir) scored for Hunslet to make it 18-16 to us, we lifted up a little when we got the ball, and George scored off what was a good set by everybody."
