LEADERS Bradford Bulls face a short away trip tomorrow as they travel to Hunslet, and they will have a tough task on their hands against a team who have won 11 out of 16 Betfred League One games so far this season.

Those results mean Hunslet currently sit fifth in the table, although they are only behind Oldham and Workington Town on points difference.

They provided a stern test for Bulls in their previous league encounter, eventually going down 32-12 at Odsal. The two sides then clashed at Hunslet a week later in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, with the visitors advancing 34-10.

Despite two defeats from two against John Kear's side this season, the Leeds-based team showed enough to suggest that tomorrow's third clash could be another close one.

Stand-off Joe Sanderson has shown impressive kicking skills, regularly achieving a 100 per cent success rate from the tee, and has proved vital to his side's progress up the league table.

York City Knights surprisingly let prolific winger Dee Foggin-Johnston leave at the end of last season and he has shown them what they are missing by continuing his scoring streak at Hunslet.

He scored against Bulls in the 32-12 defeat and achieved successive home braces against Coventry and Whitehaven last month. He was absent from their last game with a foot injury though, and the hosts will hope he returns for this clash.

Hunslet have taken advantage of the cash crisis at fellow League One club Keighley Cougars by signing two of their star performers, Ryan Wright and Josh Tonks.

The latter had scored six tries in 13 appearances as Cougars captain this season, and brings a wealth of second and third tier experience to the Leeds side, having previously played for York and Dewsbury Rams.

Hunslet head coach Gary Thornton admitted that he had tried to sign Tonks in the past, knowing what he is capable of, and was delighted to secure his signature amid interest from other clubs.

Bulls know they will face a tough fixture against a host of quality players tomorrow, but while Hunslet's seven-game winning streak ended last week at Workington, John Kear's side will hope to extend theirs to 12 in a row.
