TONY McMahon has joined City's League One rivals Oxford on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old was released at the end of last season after more than 100 appearances for the Bantams - the last of Phil Parkinson's recruits to remain at Valley Parade.
Oxford boss Karl Robinson said: "He is a strong character and a really good player.
"He got something like 18 assists last season from full back but is also sound defensively and he will do a great job for us."
Oxford are due to visit Valley Parade on November 24.
