JAMES LOGAN was in stunning form for Farsley as they cruised an emphatic 183-run win over Lightcliffe.

The Yorkshire spinner made a maiden Bradford Premier League century and also took five wickets to keep his side very much in the top-flight title hunt.

Logan and fellow Yorkshire player James Wainman got their side off to a perfect start with an opening stand of 103.

Wainman dominated the partnership with 65, but once he darted Logan took centre stage. He went on to hit 15 fours in a knock of 118.

Skipper Ryan Cooper (80) put on 152 for the third wicket with Logan before Pat Kruger (33no) helped swell the score to 343-4 – the best of the day.

Suleman Khan (3-103) was the most successful bowler for Lightcliffe who were bowled out for 160. Spinner Logan was the chief destroyer with 5-35.

Leaders New Farnley had a five-wicket win at Methley in a rain-affected match decided on Duckworth Lewis Stern method.

They chased down a revised total of 187 after Methley had made 241 in their full allocation of 50 overs.

It was former Yorkshire and England player Ajmal Shahzad, more noted for his bowling, who guided his side home with an unbeaten 49. Dave Cummings (41) and Martin Andersson (34) also aided the New Farnley cause.

Opener Marcus Walmsley seems to enjoy playing against New Farnley. On this occasion, he top scored with 75, while Dan Shuffe (35no) and Jordan Laban (32) gave support.

Spinner Dave McCallum (5-61) and Luke Jarvis (3-78) took the bowling honours for New Farnley.

Pudsey St Lawrence bagged a maximum 20 points after defeating struggling Scholes by 125 runs to maintain their challenge for the title.

Opener Adam Waite set up the win by scoring 96 as St Lawrence made 225-4. Wicketkeeper Charlie Best (83) shared a partnership of 162 with Waite which was the cornerstone for the Saints' score.

Scholes were soon in trouble and were dismissed for 100. The most successful bowler was leg spinner Tom Hudson (3-16).

Hanging Heaton returned to winning ways after two defeats in a row as they overcame Bradford & Bingley by 10 wickets in a rain-affected match.

Hanging Heaton, who had bowled out their opponents for 136 with paceman Tom Chippendale taking 6-51, were set a Duckworth Lewis target of 101 which they reached in 17 overs without losing a wicket. Skipper Gary Fellows was unbeaten on 65 while Nick Connolly finished 33 not out.

The tightest finish came at Moorend as Cleckheaton reached their DLS target against Townville with their last-wicket pair of Jonathan Whiteoak and Andrew Deegan at the wicket.

The man who did most to ensure they pocketed the win was former skipper John Wood. His hard-hitting 59 ensured his side kept up with the required rate to reach their target of 188, despite the efforts of Shahid Nawaz (4-38) and Conor Harvey (3-63).

Townville, who were being led by Liam Booth in the absence of Jack Hughes, who broke a leg in midweek, scored 197 when they batted first. Opener Jonathan Booth (72) and Harry Clewett (64) led the way while the best of the Cleckheaton bowlers were Whiteoak (3-41) and Deegan (3-46).

Bottom team East Bierley were unable to build on their first win of the season last week as they tumbled to a 125-run defeat against Woodlands.

Once again, their batting failed them as they were bowled out for 77 in reply to a Woodlands total of 202. They were undone by the spin of Chris Brice who took 6-23.

Greg Finn and Liam Collins both made exactly 50 for Woodlands. Mohammad Hafeez took 5-34 and Rizwan Ali (3-59) for Bierley.
