BULLS have signed Max Trueman on a one-year contract following the young utility back's impressive displays for their reserve grade.

The brother of former Bradford academy product and Castleford star Jacob Trueman, Max expressed his delight at signing for his home-town club.

He said: “I can’t put it into words how excited myself and all of my family are for this chance to play for my boyhood club. They have supported me every step of the way.

“Bradford are such a huge name and to be able to wear the shirt and represent the franchise on any occasion fills me with so much pride.

“The reserve grade has been a great chance for me to prove what I am worth to John (Kear) and the rest of the coaching staff at the Bulls. They have put faith in me and given me a chance and I am going to continue to do so.”

Trueman, who is fit again after a knee injury last year, caught the eye playing for National Conference League outfit West Bowling and has also played rugby union for Bradford Salem.
