BRADFORD City Women are out to bounce back at Fylde in the FA Women’s Premier League tomorrow, following a 6-2 defeat to Stoke City.

The Bantams had pulled the game back to 3-2 by half time in their last outing, but poor unforced errors allowed Stoke to score three goals without reply in the second period.

This week, City’s work on the training ground has been aimed at stamping out those mistakes ahead of what is sure to be a close match in the North West.

“We have been focusing this week on when and where to play football, in what areas of the pitch. Basically looking at our overall decision making which cost us against Stoke,” said manager Charlotte Stuart.

“We’ve already played Fylde twice this season and we know they are a good team who are well structured.

“Last time we played it was a very close and evenly matched game which they won 2-1, and the time before we needed penalties to beat them in the cup. We can expect another tight game this weekend.

“The whole team want to put last week’s wrongs right and everyone is eager to bounce back.

“We have a very strong morale running throughout that can help us do that.”

City remain without Ellie White, involved in nine goals this season, through a shoulder injury, while full-back Zoe Roberts is also sidelined due to knee ligament damage.

However, top-scorer Laura Elford could return for a timely boost as Bradford visit one of the teams tipped for the title this term
