GORDON Greer should find out if he is in City's plans within the next day.

Stuart McCall is keen to get the experienced Scot on board at centre half.

Greer enhanced his claims tonight with a goal to cap a solid display as the Bantams won 2-1 at Guiseley.

McCall planned to talk with chairman Edin Rahic to see if they can get a deal done. He doesn't want to leave the free agent defender hanging on.

McCall said: "In fairness to Gordon, we need to make a decision in the next 24 hours.

"Myself and Greg (Abbott) will be talking to Edin, who is back in Germany at the minute. Gordon's done everything asked of him.

"Even before the game and at half-time, his knowledge and the way he was discussing things was helpful as well."

Greer's performance was one of several positives for McCall in his side's come-from-behind victory at Nethermoor.

"I knew it was going to be a competitive game," added the City chief. "Adam (Lockwood) has built a good squad there, he's got a bit of experience but also a lot of energy as well.

"I think they'll do fine next year.

"The surface was good and made for quick, passing football.

"We lost a soft goal early on from a corner but it was a good exercise. I'm pleased with a lot of things.

"A lot of lads got 90 minutes in their legs and it was a decent run-out."
