FIELD were looking for maximum points to secure second place in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division but had to settle for third after a 0-0 draw against Hunslet Club.
Barry Dunne, assistant manager at Field, said: "It was a poor game with very few chances. Both teams struggled in what turned out to be a typical end-of-season match."
Field's league match against champions Carlton Athletic was postponed as Field wanted to rearrange it, mainly due to Bradford City being involved in the League One play-off final at Wembley, but an alternative date could not be agreed.
Meanwhile, Glyn Hirst led the way for Field Reserves with a hat-trick in their 7-0 demolition of Hunslet Club Reserves in Alliance Division One.
Also on target for Field were Ben Baker, with a double, Liam Carroll and Connor Wignall.
The Field second string then travelled to Huddersfield Amateur Reserves and came away with a 3-2 win to secure third place, with Baker (2) and Joe Vickers on target.
