BRADFORD Bulls centre Ethan Ryan insists that opponents Rochdale Hornets should not leave Odsal with anything tomorrow.

In a bold statement ahead of the Bulls' first home game of the season, Ryan shrugged off the first round results which saw the Bulls losing 54-24 at Hull KR and the Hornets winning 46-0 at home to Dewsbury Rams.

He declared that the newly-reformed Bulls - buoyed by a first full week back at their training base in Tong - will be looking to kick-start their season at the expense of the newly-promoted club.

"We know it is going to be a very, very tough game for us. We need to win really. These are the sort of games we need to be winning," he said. "This weekend, Rochdale, newly promoted team, a team we should be beating.

"No disrespect to them but we should," he added. "We know they did a shock result against Dewsbury - and no-one expected that - but we have reviewed the game, we have looked on the video, we know what they are going to throw at us. We know exactly what to do."

On the benefits of returning to Tong this week, Ryan said: "It's started to feel a little bit more like 'together' and not as random. We have been training in various places around Bradford but it's good to be back at Tong, good to have a bit of structure back into it. Definitely. We didn't have much of a pre-season."

The Bulls, meanwhile, will be unveiling their new kit on Saturday morning along with new sponsors.

The season launch, at Odsal, begins at 10am with a 'Captain's Run' before the players visit the Southbank Stand to meet supporters and the media.
