CITY have made a £250,000 bid for Carlisle striker Charlie Wyke, the Telegraph & Argus understands.
It is believed that matches the release clause in the contract of the 24-year-old, who has netted 17 goals this season for the Cumbrians.
Wyke has been City's top target before the window shuts on Tuesday as they hunt a replacement for James Hanson.
City tonight declined to make any comment.
