Bradford Park Avenue and Guiseley matches could be seen live in pubs and clubs throughout the area and on the internet in the forthcoming season following the UniBond League's ground-breaking tie-up.

A statement issued by the league after their annual meeting in Blackpool claimed it was "part of an historic deal" and that it had brought in a six-figure sum for the three years of agreement.

The deal follows a pilot scheme last season when UniBond TV provided games on a pay-to-view basis for the internet.

That was operated by Invision, who will now become the UniBond League's official broadcast and internet partner.

The broadband broadcast will be free and linked to all the member clubs' own websites but the showing of two live midweek games will be subject to a subscription.

UniBond League chief executive officer Duncan Bayley said: "One of our clubs carried out a three-month pilot scheme last season to test the effect on match attendances of broadcasting matches live into local pubs.

"In fact, doing so helped the club to rekindle the interest of some lapsed supporters, while raising the profile of the club and the league."
