JER Lane have slipped out of the top two of the Spenser Wilson Halifax League Premier Division for the first time in over three years.

They fell to third after suffering a second defeat of the season – this time against Triangle, who leapfrogged them into second.

Hosts Triangle made 240 as Nabil Ahmed Khan took 5-92. Jer surprisingly failed to get anywhere near the target, scoring only 162, with Imran Mirza hitting 57 as former Idle player Kurtis Whippey completed a fine all-round day by taking 5-31 to add to his earlier 84.

Nikki Hutchinson's magnificent innings for Thornton went unrewarded as they lost by two wickets to visitors Booth.

He hit 15 fours and ten sixes in 153 not out, which was made out of only 201, adding 65 with Craig Charlton (25) and 81 with Joshua Hutchinson (31) in their 249-4.

However, Booth won off the penultimate ball after Nikki Hutchinson (4-37) had dismissed the first four batsmen.

In Division One, 18 wickets fell for just 105 runs at Great Horton Park Chapel.

Matthew Jordan (5-37), Richard Hassall (3-2) and Paul Fenton (2-7) formed a potent three-pronged attack for Park Chapel, who dismissed Southowram for 52 and replied with 53-8, only No 4 Waseem Chaudhry (11) making double figures.

Leaders Queensbury had a relatively easy home win after making 192-9, with Tom Watson (77), Amjad Ali (5-48) and Gurdev Singh (4-38) helping to restrict Bridgeholme to 123.

Nathan Storton (4-49) and Tom Mawer (2-29) were the star bowlers for Oxenhope in home side Stones' 220-6. Stuart Jackson (84no), Joshua Fleetwood (57) and Craig Bartlett were then at the head of a nicely-timed reply, Oxenhope winning by seven wickets with 14 balls to spare.

Low Moor only made 115 to lose by 116 runs at Old Crossleyans and remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Division Two is boiling up into a very competitive race for promotion, with only 12 points separating the top eight teams.

Former leaders Bradshaw lost to Denholme Clough, who are third.

Clough rattled up 251-8, with opener Ghulam Farid (64) and Mohammed Zhabair Yousaf (68) putting on 96 for the third wicket, Imran Aslam chipping in with 37.

In the face of accurate bowling from Adil Hanif (4-31 off 12 overs) and Israh Akram (3-30 off 15), Bradshaw could only reply with 166-9.

The tightest contest of the day was at Outlane, where Cullingworth recovered from 66-4 to 281, with the contribution of No 6 Chris Welch (85) eventually proving decisive.

He was backed up by Will Rankin (41), who added 71 with Welch, and Graham Rankin (50), who put on 107 with the same player.

Outlane then fell short by six runs, Welch completing a fine all-round match by taking 5-95, while Ben Burkill bagged 3-47 as Cullingworth went top.

Joe Selby (4-57) and Chris Ramsden (3-59) helped restrict Shelf to 200, who were dismissed in only 36.4 overs, visitors Clayton winning by four wickets off 42.2 overs in a match where no-one scored 50.
