THE prize of an appearance at Odsal Stadium in April adds more spice, if any was needed, to tomorrow's eagerly-awaited semi-finals of the Bradford ARL competitions.

In the Jack Senior Memorial Cup, Pennine League Premier Division outfit Queensbury entertain Championship Division opponents Odsal Sedbergh.

Both sides prop up their respective divisions with just one win between them all term. But any thoughts that this will have a bearing on the result will be put firmly on the back burner in what should be a cracker.

Queensbury will have a plethora of talent on parade, with half-backs Billy Naylor and Jonny Norman in splendid form, but the clash of the props is likely to have a huge impact on the result.

Vastly experienced Queensbury duo Andy Senior and Dan Hawksworth will take some overcoming, while Sedge pair Steve Barnes and James Sharp are the new kids on the block who are making the hard yards and scoring tries at vital moments.

Sedge have another potential match-winner in centre Rob Priestley, who is using his electric pace to good effect.

Division One outfit Victoria Rangers will not be overawed by the visit of Premier Division side West Bowling in what will be another intriguing encounter (3pm).

Bowling, who have missed out on cup success in recent years, welcome back packman Liam Martin from a long-term shoulder injury to bolster a six who are firing on all cylinders, allowing half-backs Ben Heald and Max Trueman to flourish.

The Vics also have a collection of key personnel and main dangerman Damien Smith will be keen to remind his former team-mates of his ability to win a game off his own bat.

This match will be preceded by the Hudson Foster Trophy semi-final between Victoria Rangers A and Odsal Sedbergh A (1pm).

The tie looks too close to call with the teams running neck and neck in Division Six West, each having lost only three times in the campaign.

West Bowling A v Queensbury A completes the cup entertainment at Emsleys Rec.

Veteran Bowling prop Lee Hutchinson will be hoping to grace the Odsal Bowl once more, while Queensbury's redoubtable duo of Sam and Luke Cheney harbour identical aspirations.

The Wyke v Wibsey Warriors derby is off following the sad news that the Warriors have beaten a retreat from the Pennine winter competition due to a shortage of players.
