Bradford Dudley Hill 36 Ovenden 8

BRADFORD Dudley Hill cruised into Saturday's Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Two promotion play-off final at Pilkington Recs following this comprehensive victory.

The Halifax visitors had no answer to the wiles of stand-off Nathan Kitson, who had them on the rack following his two early touchdowns, to which he added the conversions.

Kitson was once again bang on target when centre Alex Dickinson crossed the whitewash shortly afterwards, and it looked like it was going to be a rout, with the Parry Laners marching along at a point a minute.

However, Ovenden pulled their socks up smartly to post a couple of touchdowns from wingman Jack Sutcliffe and substitute Aaron Brown, and were back in contention when the sides swapped ends at 18-8.

But Hill dispelled any hopes of an upset when hooker Kyle Carter crossed on the restart, soon followed by another smart effort from full back Aiden Batey.

Prop forward Anthony Lawton powered his way to the line on the hour mark, leaving Kitson his sixth conversion in what proved to be the final score of the game, allowing Hill to see out time with gas in the tank for the play-off final.
