THE destination of the Division A title took a potentially decisive switch following the penultimate round of fixtures.

New Wortley were bowled out for 126 as they suffered a shock 35-run defeat at Tong Park Esholt. Simon Hogan made 71 for Tong Park Esholt, while Naveed Awan took 5-36.

That result enabled Halifax Direct, winners by two wickets at Shipley Providence to move two points clear at the top. They dismissed the home side for 136.

So all eyes will be on the final games next Saturday which see Halifax Direct entertain Farnley Hill and Shipley Providence play hosts to New Wortley.

Adel's relegation to Section B was confirmed when they suffered a four-wicket defeat at the hands of Cookridge.

Bradford Moor secured the Section B title with a two-wicket home win over relegated Shipley Providence B. Murtaza Ali Abbas took 5-11 including a hat-trick as Providence were bowled out for 165.

The destiny of the Division C title and the promotion places will be decided on the final day of the season.

Leaders Crompark were dismissed for 122 as they suffered a five-wicket defeat against third-placed Morley. Joe Devine made 59 for the winners.

Second-placed Thornbury B narrowed the gap at the top to just four points when securing a five-wicket win at home to Baildon B, who they bowled out for 115, Don Butterfield making 51.
