UNITY finished the Bradford Table Tennis Summer League season in style by adding the Bower Cup to their Division Two title.

Their opponents in the final were Hermits D, who had knocked out Division One side Yeadon B in the semi-finals after receiving a 162- point start.

But Hermits were no match for the ruthless Unity trio of David Renton, Steve Whitaker and Dave Rawlins, who allowed them only two games.

LEAGUE RESULTS – Division One: Yeadon B 4, Yeadon A 6; Embassy A 2, Yeadon C 8. Average winner: S Masoudi (Yeadon C) P33, W31, L2 – 93.94%. Division Two: Hermits C 7, Hermits E 3; Hermits B 6, Embassy D 4. Average winner: S Whitaker (Unity) P33, W29, L4 – 87.88%.

* The Bradford Winter League pre-season meeting will take place at West Bradford Golf Club on Monday (7.30pm).
