Nelson 2, Silsden 3
SILSDEN turned in a much-improved second-half performance to come from a goal down and win their North West Counties League Premier Division derby clash at Nelson.
The home side took an early lead when Matty O'Neill netted after Cobbydalers keeper Danny Thorpe had parried a free-kick.
Silsden levelled before the half-hour mark through Zack Dale but just a minute later Ryan Salmon made it 2-1 to Nelson.
The Cobbydalers were a different side after the break and two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half were just reward.
Ben Crabtree's through-ball picked out Craig Nicholls and he equalised. The same pair then combined again but Nicholls was brought down in the area and Andy Hill netted from the spot.
Albion Sports host Retford United tomorrow night as 11th place takes on 12th in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
Both teams have only played three league games so far and would make a significant move up the table with a win.
Eccleshill United are at home to Selby Town in Division One.
The Eagles won for the first time this season at the weekend but will have to be on top form to make it back-to-back victories as Selby are sixth and looking for the three points that would make them joint-leaders.
