City’s flying start to the season put down a marker at Valley Parade, insisted Phil Parkinson.
Two goals from James Hanson and an Alan Sheehan penalty earned the Bantams a thrilling 3-2 verdict over Coventry this afternoon.
A delighted Parkinson said: “We deserved the win, even though it looked like we might have to settle for a point. It was an outstanding performance from the lads.
“I said to them before the game to put a marker down in front of our own supporters and we certainly did that. It sent everyone away happy.
“We’re not getting carried away with it but equally there were some good signs out there today. The first three points of the season are always crucial.”
