Matt Taylor has left Bradford City after this afternoon agreeing a two-year deal with Cheltenham.

The 32-year-old centre half, who played only four times for the Bantams, will join the League Two club next week. He is likely to be named captain by the Robins.

Taylor's time at Valley Parade has been hampered by injury but he recently made his return to action during last week's tour of Ireland.

There is no fee involved after his City contract, which had another year to run, was cancelled by mutual consent.

Good Luck to Taylor, however I am getting worried about the Squad Size by now most of the good players have been signed up. Does this mean that we are going to be relying substantionaly on Loan Players this season.

I think we may see somebody else come in as a wage gets freed up with the departure of Matt Taylor.

Good luck to the lad. We never really got to see much of him as he had a bad year with injuries.

Watching them train, it's the smallest first team squad I can recall at this stage.

I assume there will be a late flurry of new faces arriving. There is the obvious concern of the time it will take to gel.

Sheehan and Knott look very comfortable on the ball, but goals look like they may be hard to come by. However, I haven't seen McLean as he's still injured.

Agree. Good luck to him. And no offence to Matt, but what a result that is getting him off the books with his injury issues. Did Mark Lawn drive him down the M5?!

Squad appears very lightweight regarding numbers. I am worried about where the goals are going to come from. Mclean hasn`t been fit since he arrived. I hope I am wrong but looking at numbers we are going to struggle if we get a couple of injuries
