West Bowling desperately need to pull off a giant-killing act when they meet National Conference League title-chasers Hull Dockers at the Bankfoot Oval on Saturday.

The Dockers have games in hand on leaders and neighbours West Hull and fondly remember their 40-14 success against Bowling on home territory earlier in the season.

However, that will count for little tempered against West's quest for points in the Premier Division survival battle.

Bowling, who pick from full strength for the second week on the trot, will want to prove the handicappers have got it wrong by giving them three points start.

Wests also know that a couple of wins will go a long way to ensure a place in next season's flagship competition.

Dudley Hill, however, will relish the long trip to Askam, who are bottom of Division Two.

Hill were in sparkling form last week when they gave Brighouse Rangers short shrift, and a repeat will see their point's difference escalate to leapfrog Saddleworth Rangers and move into second spot in the table.
