Guiseley head to the Midlands for their toughest test of the season against UniBond Premier Division leaders AFC Telford United on Saturday.

It will be a good indicator of how far the Nethermoor side have come since Terry Dolan took over the reigns last October.

"It will certainly be the hardest task for the club since I have been here," said the former Bantams boss.

Soon after he was appointed, Telford visited Guiseley in what was Dolan's fourth game in charge.

"We gave them a run for their money at our place but we lost 1-0. It was close and I thought we deserved something from it, a draw at least. I think we have come on since then.

"I have seen a general improvement over the last seven weeks.

"It was nice to see us get a win at home last Saturday (2-1 against Ashton United).

"Our home form has been good but we need to pick points up on the road if we are to make any impression on the promotion play-offs.

"January is always a crucial month but we only have one home game in that period, that is why we need to start picking up more away."

Dolan has the same players available from last week's win which leaves them in seventh spot.

He said: "Gavin Knight got a bad kick on the ankle when the Ashton lad got sent off but he trained this week and has had no reaction."
