WAKEFIELD'S Australian half-back Jarrod Sammut has joined Championship neighbours Featherstone on a dual-registration deal and is set to make his debut for them against North Wales Crusaders on Sunday.
Sammut, 27, began the season at Bradford before moving to Wakefield in February and made 15 consecutive appearances until losing his place under new coach James Webster.
Rovers coach Andy Hay said: "I'm delighted that Jarrod has joined the club and he will go straight into the 17 on Sunday. He will add significant quality and experience to our side."
Sammut is the second Australian half-back to make the move from the Wildcats to Featherstone, who took Harry Siejka on loan earlier this month.
