City of Bradford Esprit Club youngsters Holly Waxman and Ruby Bower are golden girls.
Both won events at the British Gas Elite Junior Elite National Diving Championships in Plymouth – a reward for their hard work under club assistant coach Becky Lee.
Holly won the Group C girls' platform, totaling an impressive 321.1 points, nailing a fairly new dive second up for a huge 64.8 points, scoring eights.
Ruby, 14, also came first in her favourite event – the girls' platform.
Her first two dives in Group B didn't have the trademark rip, but she did improve, qualifying in second place.
She made a great start in the finals, nailing her first two dives – an inward two-and-half somersaults from 7.5 metres, which scored 60.75 points, and a forward three-and-a-half somersaults from ten metres for 59.4 points.
Ruby finished off with a back two-and-a-half somersaults with a half twist in the piked position for 46.8 points and a total of 316.8 points – a mark that was good enough to make her eligible for junior Great Britain selection.
Esprit also won two synchro medals, Holly teaming up with fellow 12-year-old Emily Bearpark (City of Leeds) to take silver in the girls' nine to 13 years one-metro synchro with 209.97 points, Ruby pairing up with clubmate Evie Webb, 15, to take bronze in the girls' 14-18 years three-metre synchro with 227.01 points.
In other individual events, Holly was fifth in the girls' one-metre and three-metres, while Ruby was fifth in the girls' one-metre and Evie was ninth in the girls' one-metre at her first junior elite competition and fifth in the girls' three-metre platform.
Former Esprit diver Sam Thornton (City of Leeds) won three gold medals, taking the boys' Group A one-metre and three-metre springboard titles, as well as the 14-18 years' boys' three-metre synchro with James Heatly (Edinburgh Diving Club).
Will Hallam (City of Leeds), another Esprit old boy, was second in the Group B boys' one-metre and three-metre.
Thornton used his junior success as a springboard for senior glory, taking bronze in the one-metre springboard, bronze in the three-metre springboard and bronze in the three-metre synchro with Heatly.
