Midfielder Gary Liddle this afternoon joined Bradford City.
The former Notts County battler signed a one-year deal, with the option of a further season, to become Phil Parkinson's third summer capture.
Liddle, who can play central defence as well, also revealed that City had tried to get him in 2012 before he joined the Magpies.
He said: "Phil rang me pretty soon after the news got out that I was leaving Notts County and I was delighted to see his name flash up on the phone.
"As soon as the manager told me of his plans next season, it was something I wanted to be part of.
"Truth be told, there was a chance of me signing here a couple of years ago. So it's nice to see the manager still interested in me now."
