Bradford Bulls set to be boosted by trio's return for St Helens showdown

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Manase Manuokafoa Manase Manuokafoa

Manase Manuokafoa, Chev Walker and Luke George all in contention to face St Helens this weekend after being named in the Bulls’ 19-man squad.

Forwards Manuokafoa and Walker have been nursing hamstring and neck injuries which forced them to miss last weekend’s win over Warrington.

Utility back George was also absent due to a rib injury but all three men could be involved on Sunday as the Bulls aim for a third straight win.

But James Donaldson remains sidelined with an ankle injury along with longer-term absentees Matty Blythe, Jamal Fakir, Brett Kearney and Dale Ferguson.

Bulls’ 19-man squad: Danny Addy, Joe Arundel, Matt Diskin, Jamie Foster, Luke Gale, Lee Gaskell, Luke George, Adam Henry, Antonio Kaufusi, Elliot Kear, Manase Manuokafoa, Alex Mellor, Adam O'Brien, Tom Olbison, Jay Pitts, Adrian Purtell, Adam Sidlow, Chev Walker, Sam Wood.

Good news, pity about Donno still out as we could use him to lock the scrum with Addy moving to SO. Luke George in for Kear on the wing? Starting to look like a squad though. COYB!!

My choice would be

1) Gaskell
2) Foster
3) Arundel
4) Purtell
5) Kear
6) Addy
7) Gale
8) Kaufusi
9) Diskin
10) Sidlow
11) Olbison
12) Pitts
13) Walker

14) Manuokafoa
15) O'Brien
16) Mellor
17) George

I would drop Henry due to his defensive frailties - however I predict a 26-16 loss for us but still expect a strong performance.

Saints have quite a few missing this week. You could be right about Henry.

I hope that Chev is not played at front row again as he is wasted there but he will play wherever he is asked to because although having once made a massive error and played for Leeds he is now Bradford through and through..

I would like to see Manuokafoa and Kaufusi on the pitch at the same time because respect to the other ball carriers these are our two biggest impact runners.

I still think we need to get rid of Foster and get a power winger instead of a hairstyle.

Disagree, most teams would give anything to have a goal kicker like Foster. He does a lot of good things - see the Warrington game.
