Jamal Fakir admits he needs no greater motivation as the Bulls seek to dump his former club out of the Challenge Cup tomorrow.
The burly prop spent a decade with Catalan before an acrimonious split saw him depart and join Bradford earlier this month.
Fakir said: “It will be a very tough game but we want to get through to the quarter-finals and go even further.
“I have very great motivation to beat Catalan and have had four games to get ready for it now.
“I have been preparing in my head and my body for this Challenge Cup tie.
“I have some friends there such as Jason Baitieri, Olivier Elima and Eloi Pelissier.
“I know their players and I know how they play and will prepare for the game. We must start well if we are to progress.”
Catalan, under the guidance of Mick Potter, were beaten by St Helens in the 2007 Challenge Cup final at Wembley.
Fakir added: “I missed out through injury but I have a chance to get there this year.”
