A Tom Matthews strike set them on their way to victory after just 13 minutes, with Ernest Boafo adding a penalty and James Hurtley also on target before the break. A late strike from Joe Jagger wrapped up the scoring.

Paul Quinn’s Town, who also have a game in hand on second-placed Tadcaster Albion, are on the brink of clinching the title and securing the solitary promotion spot the division offers into the Evo-Stik League.

Neighbours Thackley were beaten 2-0 at third-from-bottom Nostell MW.

The mid-table Dennyboys conceded two goals in the opening quarter of the game and failed to muster a single response.

FC Halifax Town moved to third in the Skrill Premier after beating Grimsby Town 1-0 at Blundell Park. Lois Maynard scored with a thunderous strike from the edge of the area.

Tonight sees Eccleshill United host Selby Town in a rearranged Division One fixture that was curtailed by fog on its original date. The Eagles and their visitors were locked at 1-1 a fortnight ago when the match referee abandoned the game at half-time.

Silsden host eighth-placed Ashton Athletic in the North West Counties Premier Division tonight fresh from securing their top flight status for next term with a 2-1 home win over Winsford United at the weekend.
