I agree with the above comment.
If we stay up and I hope we do then up front is a major concern.
Without Hanson who in my eyes is not a prolific goal scorer we are no good.
We miss Wells or should I say someone who can score goals.
Gray and Tooth paste must be on a combined wage of around 10k a week and cannot hit a barn door!
Major mistake signing McClean. Not the man who will score 20+ goals.
Worrying really as next season if we don't get a good start like this season we will go down.
As for Gray. Another waste of finances.
Cannot wait till his contract is up this summer.
Cannot see many clubs coming in for you so happy retirement.
As for strikers. Why can we not get somebody like the Halifax town striker Gregory I think he is called who is banging goals in for fun at town.

Its official for the first time ever I am saying Parky Out!
Sorry but your not the man to take city any further.
If it was not for Wells and a bit of luck for our sucess last season then any manger would of been sacked on our recent results.
God help us next season with no target man.
If it was not for the good start we would be bottom of the league now.
Too many dud signings by Phil.
Time to move on mate.
There are a few decent out of work managers ATM out there!

Pains me to say it but parkinson has taken this club as far as he can, I wouldn't trust him to turn it around it the summer if we do survive because his track record of recruiting players to date is appalling!

As soon as you saw the line up tonight it was set up to stifle Walsall rather than us go for the win, Bates in midfield, Really!!!

With the games remaining cannot see us surviving, could be 3 points off drop on Saturday?

Shocking performance if this goes on then we may well go down. McClean i am now afraid to say is proving a poor buy he has had enough games to produce and is not doing so may be better to play the young lad. However he was not alone tonight a lot of the team did not earn a wage. My faith in Mr Parkinson is in danger of being misplaced COME ON PHIL GET A GRIP BEFORE IT IS TO LATE

If Hanson is fit for the bench he is fit enough to start. Mclean is just not good enough. Bates in midfield (not won a match he has played in!).

Confidence is so low. Cannot see a win with what we have available. PP should do the decent thing and go! His signings are poor and in Mclean a total waste of money.

Where are the PP supporters after a game like this?

Parky is clueless when it comes to tactics, selection and signings, he needs to do the honourable thing.

I'm a fan of Phil and always have been since he came and just kept us in the football league but I don't think he can hack it anymore, he's selection is awful he's signings are shocking, he hasn't made one good buy this year that has worked. I don't think sacking him this close to the end of the season will do a blind bit of difference I just hope as we all do, we can scrape together at least 2more wins and a draw which "touch wood" will keep us up, after that I think it's out with parky and in with......Dean Saunders maybe? Did well with donny and was his team that won the league...

Ok tonight was a shocker and Saturday was terrible as well. However I think we will stay up but the players need to knuckle down and focus like professionals are paid to.

I do not want to see parkinson go we are still 15th with a positive goal difference to all the teams around us. I know other supporters feel otherwise and understand that.

The thing about city is we often lose the games we should win and sometimes win the games we appear to have little chance in.........

Struggling to defend PP after that performance. Some bizarre decisions. Why take off Bennett who looked like our only threat? At 0-1 Yeates was ready to come on but then the second goal went in and he sent yeates back and brought a defender on. We had nothing to defend!
The criticism of McLean is a bit harsh. The lads 5 ft tall and 90% of the balls that come to him he has to beat a 6ft centre half in the air to get anywhere near. When he gets it to feet he seems quite good at switching the play with quick passes.
It will certainly be an interesting end to the season.

The way we were set up with one 36 year old midfield player to cover the middle of the pitch, I don't think that the team stood a chance. Still, I thought Darby, Davis and Bennett deserve some praise

It is now fair to say that we are in trouble. ..the next 2 away games could conceivably see us in the bottom six if both are lost...four points out of the last twelve and back to back defeats shows a weak squad in every area...Colchester shows what is possible but how often has that happened? How can that win and confidence attained be so easily wasted? It has taken very little...one single mistake v Gillingham and safety now under significant threat..since McLean hit the back of the net we have lost 8 points...which shows how devoid we are of goals and how all areas of the team are struggling.
There are nine teams all fighting for their lives below us and at present we are cannon fodder.

Another toothless performance against a team on a poor run!! We made Walsall look like Barcelona. To be fair to them they did play some nice stuff on the floor unlike us who are so predictable and one dimensional it is untrue!
We are getting outclassed by teams with much smaller budgets than ours which highlights how p155 poor Parkinson's signings have been this season. Aaron McLean is not a goalscorer, he has had more than enough time to bed In etc - complete waste of space
As for the loan signings, why bring them in if they are not going to be used - namely Atkinson and Jameson.
It will be a miracle if we get anything from the next few matches, Rotherham will year us apart!!

I agree about the play, it's same old get the ball, pass side to side, pass, pass, pass back,AND a boot up field, intercepted, defend, defend, defend, defend, they shoot and nearly score, AND pass pass pass back boot up field AND defend defend defend and so on...

Would be good if pp was to speak to the T&A and explain some of his decisions/selections
. I know I will be shot down for this as it would give teams an insight into his thinking, but, we pay his wages with ticket sales. Any sponsorships are made on the back of our large fan base.
Please enlighten us with some of your idea's Phil. We deserve this as fans. One of my main questions is about the players you thought were good enough to bring in but not good enough to play?

Some people are clueless. Its alright blaming mcclean but he never even had a chance created for him. It's not like he missed a glut of chances as we never created one except the Davies header, Suarez and Auguero wouldn't have scored with that service tonight. It was a very poor display by all. As for dolan he has had a sickness bug as was deemed not fit enough for the full 90 minutes although I was still surprised with bates over Atkinson. Worrying times though

What a truly terrible performance, I am struggling to remember a worse display at home under Parky's reign, and this was against a very average Walsall side.

Where was the commitment, desire, passion and drive that we have grown accustomed to under Parky, as it wasn't in evidence tonight.

Hanson might have come on, but I don't think he was ever fit, and thus our game plan seemed to be to play for a point. This was probably best illustrated by starting a centre back, Bates in midfield, to counteract the extra man they had in there, over the creative Dolan, who I don't think was carrying a knock. Incredibly, when we go one nil down, he still doesn't take off his holding midfielder Bates and bring on Dolan.

If you go into the game with a negative mindset, then more often than not it is followed by a negative performance, just as it was at Shrewsbury, when we went there simply to avoid getting beat, so I think the management are as much to blame as the players.

You had to be there to appreciate how bad it was, and to perform in that manner in front of 12,000 loyal supporters, I hope they feel truly ashamed.

Thanks macca, but I was questioning if Dolan had a knock for him to start Bates over him.

Parky has since confirmed they both had been suffering from a bug, so like I thought, starting Bates was a negative move designed to nullify the opposition.
