Bulls coach Francis Cummins said today that he was hopeful the club’s change of ownership will be concluded early next week.

As revealed in today’s Telegraph & Argus, a deal has been struck for a London-based consortium to buy the club from administrator David Wilson.

It was hoped that the sale would be finalised before the weekend but it is now likely to be Monday at the earliest before any official announcement is made.

Cummins said: “We were hoping for the end of this week but it’s probably looking more like the start of next week now - that’s the only little bit of word I’ve had.

“I had a good meeting with the administrator last week but I’m not in regular contact with him because that’s not my job to be.

“My job is to prepare the rugby league team and I liaise with the likes of Robbie Hunter-Paul, who tell me what’s going on.”

What a farce we were led to believe this would be sorted by 'early this week' I.e by Tuesday at the latest now it's looking like another week to sort out, do they just down tools sat & sun why not crack and end this nonsense. And what a sorry state of affairs when the head coach knows as much as us.

Said before on this site, Francis Cummings has proved himself far more than most. He has worked in extreme adversity, kept a team going and I am sure the fact there has not been a mass exodus is in no small part due to him. He deserves incredible praise, admiration and the 100% backing and loyalty of the fans. I hope that new owners roll loyalty such as this into the package that they have put to both the administrator and to the RFL

1st. Monday this week ; then Tuesday ; then Wednesday ; then Thursday ; then Friday (without fail) & now we are told it MAY BE early next week ! Is Redhall in league with the Administrator to ensure players continue to leave the Bulls , so we eventually end up playing in the Pennine League , if we are lucky !!!! Together with the farce re. Chev Walker being banned to ensure we have a depleted team again ; may be if he played for some clubs , he wouldn't have been banned & available to play this week end !!!

I would fret too much about props, we'll have three times as many as last week;)
Ps, Walker misses tackles like it's his JOB! We need players but we need them to do the basics right
