Junior Witter steps into the ring for the first time as a 40-year-old tomorrow night in Sheffield.
Bradford’s former world light-welter champion is on the Ponds Forge undercard for Kid Galahad’s tilt at the vacant European super-bantam belt.
Witter, who has lost his last two fights to unbeaten opponents, takes on journeyman Max Maxwell in a six-rounder.
Witter made his 50th pro outing in November when he dropped a majority decision to Tino Schwarzkopf in Germany.
