LISTERHILLS AA Conditions worsened as the match progressed last Sunday at Pilley’s. All competitors weighed in.

The winner was E Harrison with 3lb 7oz of small roach. Second was D Stephenson with 3lb of roach and perch of a slightly better size, third was W Barker (1lb 10oz) and fourth was D Jackson.

This is the last weekend of coarse fishing on the rivers. The last day is Friday, March 14. All litter must be removed off site and not left in bags near the entry.

Anyone who does not comply will be expelled from the club. Vehicles must not be driven on parts of the bank which does not have a hardcore surface.

keighley Ac Anglers are returning to the riverbanks following recent wet weather but secretary Dennis Freeman has urged members to be cautious, even on stretches of the river they know well. One member used feeder tactics to hook a stunning male fish weighing 2lb 8oz and in perfect pre-spawning condition.

The club plans to run a match on the River Aire at Kildwick on Sunday (9am draw). Contact match secretary Darren Watson on 07795-243332.

BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC Our next general meeting is on Tuesday, March 18 at the New Inn, East Bierley (8pm). This is our presentation evening and will be followed by a free buffet. We would like as many people as possible to attend as it promises to be a good night. There will also be some tackle for sale at discount prices. New potential members will be made most welcome. FIELD AC The draw for our match on Sunday at Forest Lane is at 9am. Can members please remember to bring their own nets and that breakfasts are available on site. Annual subscriptions must be paid before members can fish any matches. Ring Mick on 07966-274476 for any queries.

BRADFORD No1 AA This weekend is the final one of the river season, which closes on March 14, until March 25 for trout angling, and until June 16 for coarse fishing. Tickets are still available for Sunday’s open match at Cowthorpe from Simon on 01274-571175. Widdington Hall will be closed tomorrow for an outside booking.

HEWENDEN AC The next course match will be held on Sunday, with a 9am draw in the carpark, £10 all in. All members welcome. The annual meeting will be held on Thursday, March 27 at The Fleece pub in Cullingworth (8pm). All members are encouraged to attend.

SALTAIRE AA There is a working party at Tong Park tomorrow (9.30am). Contact David for information on 07909-813915. River match result (Sunday, March 2): 1 A Fox 24lb 4oz, 2 C Chadwick 20lb, 3 R Pickles 8lb 12oz.

BINGLEY AC The next committee meeting is on Tuesday (8pm). Members are reminded that rivers are closed from March 15-24.
