Hopefully the two remaining West Riding County FA Challenge Cup quarter-finals - Bay Athletic v Field and Steeton v Brighouse Town - can finally be played on Saturday.

Should Bay Athletic's ground at Northfield Hall in Brackenhall not be fit, they have made arrangements to use a 3G pitch in Huddersfield.

Steeton who have only played once in 2014 when they beat Oxenhope 3-0 earlier this month, will also be hoping for a dry spell.

With the majority of clubs in the three divisions of the West Riding County Amateur League well into the second half of the season, the league have left on hold an application to the West Riding County Football Association for an extension to the league season past Saturday, May 10.

However, with the 2014 cricket season due to start in mid-April, a few teams that share facilities with the national summer sport could be switching their games to Friday evenings.

After clobbering Littletown for five last Saturday, Campion will looking for the same again when they entertain Premier Division basement side Hall Green United at Manningham Mills (2.30).

Tyersal, who are too close to the bottom of the table for comfort, host fifth-placed Golcar United at Arkwright Street.

Salts, who have six of their last seven games at home, have second-placed Kirkburton as their opponents at Saltaire.

Division One pacesetters Hunsworth will be seeking another three points in their quest for top spot at the end of the season when Tingley Athletic, who they beat 4-0 earlier in the season, are their visitors.

Second-placed Ventus Yeadon Celtic, who were surprisingly beaten 3-0 by Steeton Reserves last week, will be looking to bounce back when they go to fifth-placed Wibsey, who have played three games fewer but are 11 points adrift of second place.
