Silsden will be keen to get back into action on Saturday at home to Glossop North End after a 17-day period of inactivity.

Andy Geary’s men last engaged in competitive action when they lost 3-1 at Colne on November 6.

It has been a difficult first half of the season for the Cobbydalers as Geary attempts to rebuild the club in his first full campaign back in charge.

Silsden progressed so much in his first spell but he is now working with a very young squad.

Goals have been hard to come by, with the boss admitting: “We have lacked someone to put the ball in the net consistently.

“We have lost Mike Garrod, Kevin Ryan and Joe Gaughan, any one of whom would have done the business for us.

“Chris Wademan took a while to settle but tends to be a creator rather than an out-and-out finisher.”

Wademan is missing this weekend following an operation, while defenders Danny Fagan, Kristian Hargreaves (suspended) and Stephen Throup are also absent.

However, Geary is hopeful of strengthening his squad.

Saturday's visitors are eight places higher than Silsden in tenth spot despite having played three games fewer at this stage.
