With the cricket season now over, West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division side Campion can start to concentrate on playing regular home games on a Saturday afternoon.

Their only defeat in their five games played so far was in their opening fixture of the season when they were beaten 5-0 by Bradford rivals Tyersal.

Since then they have posted 3-1 victories over Steeton and Hall Green United and picked up draws at Salts and Golcar United.

Tomorrow they entertain Kirkburton at Manningham Mills (2.30). The Huddersfield side have won three and lost four of their opening fixtures and are one place and one point ahead of Campion.

Salts, who took 13 points from their first five games, will be seeking to reverse their last two matches when they lost at league champions Bay Athletic and at home to Littletown. They visit Storthes Hall, who, after losing their first four games in August, have put together a run of three successive victories in September.

Steeton host Lepton Highlanders at their Summer Hill Ground.

Many of the reserve sides and some teams in Divisions One and Two will be on Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup duty and among them are the round-one ties involving Dudley Hill Rangers against West Horton at East Bierley and Tyersal Reserves and BD3 United at Arkwright Street.
