Manager Neil Parsley is unhappy with the current form of his Farsley squad but they could redeem themselves with a good result on Saturday.

An indifferent start to their Evo-Stik Division One North campaign means Farsley going into the weekend just into the top half of the table after seven games.

They head to New Mills, who are one of the eight clubs above them.

The Cheshire club are just one point better off than their visitors but have lost one more game and have a worse goal difference.

Parsley will be plotting an away win that would see his club leapfrog their hosts.

However, he is also aware that they will have to improve on last Saturday’s performance - a 3-0 defeat at Kendal Town.

Parsley said, “We didn’t play how we normally play or how we want to. We weren’t creative, a little predictable I thought.

"We don’t want to be going route one – that’s not us. We have to put things right before we go to New Mills because that will be another tough game.”
