After starting their West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division season with two big wins, Tyersal were brought down to earth in midweek when they lost 3-2 at home to Salts.

On Saturday they host reigning champions Bay Athletic at Arkwright Street (2.30pm). Bay themselves have not made the best of starts, having lost 3-0 on Wednesday to promoted Huddersfield YMCA.

Salts are targeting three wins out of three at pointless Lepton Highlanders.

Steeton, with only one win to show from their three opening fixtures, which included a 3-1 reversal at Campion in midweek, entertain Wakefield side Hall Green United. Division One early leaders Ventus Yeadon Celtic and Wakefield City go head to head at Dam Lane.

Hunsworth, who were denied promotion to the top flight due to their facilities at East Bierley not meeting league criteria, welcome Storthes Hall reserves.

Wednesday’s results – Premier Division: Campion 3, Steeton 1; Golcar United 2, Storthes Hall 3; Hall Green Utd 2, Kirkburton 3; Huddersfield YMCA 3, Bay Athletic 0; Lepton Highlanders 2, Halifax Irish 4; Littletown 0, Ovenden WR 6; Tyersal 2, Salts 3.
