Ricky Ravenhill column: Saturday's game at Stevenage will be chalk and cheese compared with last week.

It’s one extreme to the other after the fantastic occasion at Valley Parade against Sheffield United.

It was a great atmosphere to be involved in. As players, you want to be part of games like that.

That was one of the big reasons a lot of us, including myself, came to this club.

You know what sort of potential Bradford City have got and you want to play in the big occasions and help the club go forward.

It was another one of those amazing days and the fans got right behind us. I think they played a big part in helping us produce a very good performance.

Sometimes the result doesn’t live up to the occasion. You get the hype and all the excitement in the crowd and the game itself can fizzle out, like Chelsea and Man U the other night.

So we were pleased we could put in a strong performance against a decent team. Sheffield United have got good players and will do all right.

They keep the ball well but I thought we dealt with them and thoroughly deserved the win. It must have been great to watch: two big football clubs producing a very entertaining game.

Now we go to Stevenage and it will probably have more of a League Two feel.

We were there last year and know what to expect. It’s an older ground with a small crowd but we know what we have to do.

We’ve got enough level-headed players that know exactly what is required to get the job done.

Stevenage took Everton to extra-time in the cup in midweek, which could work either for us or against us.

They will be quite confident after playing well against a Premier League team at their place. But on the other hand, they’ve had a tough game that will have taken a lot out of their players and have got to pick themselves up to go again.
