City jet back from Dublin later today after rounding off their week in Ireland with a second victory.

As they had done at Athlone, the Bantams came from behind to beat Bohemians by the same scoreline in front of a good sized travelling support.

Jason Kennedy claimed assists for both first-half goals, which came from his corners.

Bohs fielded a totally different team from the one that won at Bray in the league last night.

But they still struck first from their opening corner. Kennedy looked to have blocked Michael Scott’s header on the line but the assistant referee gave the goal.

The home side’s lead lasted only ten minutes before Garry Thompson appeared at the near post to divert home Kennedy’s set-piece.

Louie Swain, partnering Alan Connell up front, smashed a shot against the bar before City went ahead right on the break, Michael Nelson’s header from beyond the far post bouncing past the covering defender on the other side of the goal.

Swain got his reward three minutes after the re-start with an angled finish from Connell’s ball over the top to make it 3-1.

After the usual mass substitutions, Nahki Wells kept up his 100 per cent scoring record in pre-season with a well-taken drive for number four.

Andrew Davies made his first appearance of pre-season and played the first half.
