Brighouse Town have added a game against Conference North outfit Guiseley to their list of pre-season friendlies.

Town kicked off their warm-up campaign with a 5-0 home defeat against FC Halifax Town last night (Simon Ainge, Dale Johnson, Andy Pearson and Joe Smith 2 on target) and host a Huddersfield Town XI on Friday (7pm).

Dunston UTS visit the Dual Seal on Saturday 20 before the match against Steve Kittrick’s Guiseley on Thursday 25. Curzon Ashton follow on Tuesday 30 and Town travel to AFC Emley on Friday, August 2.

Liversedge have announced their pre-season fixture-list and it consists of five games, all at home and all midweek.

Eric Gilchrist’s men will begin their warm-up games when they host Bradford Park Avenue next Tuesday before fracing the manager’s two previous clubs, Ossett Town on Thursday 25 and Ossett Albion on Monday 29.

Into August they host Frickley Athletic on the first of the month and AFC Goole the following Tuesday.

The games are the perfect preparation for Gilchrist’s second season back at Clayborn and, while there will be wear and tear on the playing surface, the club hopes that will be offset by the income generated.
