City will play Burton Albion in the play-off semi-finals.
The Brewers beat champions Gillingham 3-2 this afternoon to nick fourth spot from Cheltenham and will now come to Valley Parade on Thursday.
The second leg will be played at the Pirelli Stadium next Sunday with a midday kick-off.
