Neil Warnock is calling on Leeds to be brave and strap themselves in for a “rollercoaster” ride to the end of the season.

Huddersfield visit Elland Road for a lunchtime Yorkshire derby with Warnock refusing to write off his side’s chances of a play-off finish.

Leeds dropped two points at home in midweek against lowly Peterborough but Warnock is not giving up the fight.

He said: “Every game we don’t win at home is a missed opportunity. It was the same when we lost to Cardiff.

“But I won’t be diverted from the nine games that are left. I think anything’s bridgeable in this league.

"It’s going to be a rollercoaster. We’ll be criticised one week and praised the next.

“We’ve just got to get on with it, overcome the injuries and we’ve got to be brave. You’ve got to be brave when you play at Elland Road.”

Warnock will count heads before facing his old club. Tom Lees (hip) and Steve Morison (calf) had scans on Wednesday after suffering knocks while Ross McCormack and David Norris are further doubts.

So Leeds are expected to change the starting line-up for the first time in seven games.

Warnock added: “Four or five players have picked up knocks so the physios will be busy.

“I don’t know who’ll be available and it was a bit like Emergency Ward Ten on Tuesday.”

Jason Pearce and El-Hadji Diouf are both on standby to return after coming off the bench.

Huddersfield welcome back striker James Vaughan from a two-game ban.
