Aiden Savory could make his second debut for Park Avenue tomorrow after coming back to Horsfall Stadium.

Bradford boss John Deacey moved quickly to sign the striker this week, just days after he scored for Goole at Throstle Nest.

Savory’s former Avenue skipper Wayne Benn is the Goole manager and he had snapped Savory up on his return to the area.

Deacey said: “Aiden is back at the club and I’m delighted. He had been playing in Australia but came back and had a couple of games for Goole and he scored three in two of them - one against Farsley.

“I think he is the addition we need as he is a proven goal-scorer and he is a bit more mature and a lot more experienced then when he was here last.

"He is wiser and I’m sure the added experience of playing abroad will have improved his overall game, and I hope it will be a very good move for him and the club.”

Savory’s first start in his second spell with Avenue could come tomorrow against Colwyn Bay, who also have a not-so-new new boy.

The Welsh side appointed former Chelsea and Leicester City man Frank Sinclair as their player- manager this week and tomorrow's Blue Square Bet North match will mark his managerial debut.

Deacey was cursing his luck, and said: “It will make it an even tougher game, that’s for sure. It always seems to fall that way for us.”

Sinclair is 41 but has been with Colwyn Bay as a player for over a season and his career has been a glittering one.

He won the FA Cup with Chelsea and the League Cup with Leicester, and appointed former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder Ashley Grimes as his first-team coach.

Deacey added: “Frank is a winner and I’m sure he will bring that mentality into his managerial career.

"He only got the top job at Colwyn this week (the announcement was made on Monday) so this is his first game and we all know how a new boss at any club brings out that something extra from all players.

“All we can do is go into the game with the right attitude and make sure we do things correctly. I have a philosophy about how the game should be played and I won’t alter that for any game.”
