Gloucester City 2, Guiseley 2
Ten-man Guiseley snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat with a last-gasp equaliser as they chipped another point off Blue Square Bet North leaders Chester FC’s lead.
The second-placed visitors broke the deadlock when Josh Wilson lashed a free-kick into the top corner but soon after the home side’s equaliser Wayne Brooksby was dismissed.
Tom Webb had netted for Gloucester and his side finished the first half strongly.
The Lions weathered that, regrouped during the break and, despite their numerical disadvantage, enjoyed a bright start to the second period.
The hosts edged in front when Lions keeper Steve Drench was guilty of a foul in the area in the 72nd minute and Darren Edwards netted the resulting penalty.
But Matt Wilson forced the ball over the line for Guiseley following a last-minute scramble in the home area.
