Mark Wilson scored the decisive goal as Whetley Lane beat Reading side Overton United 1-0 to win the much-delayed FA Umbro Vets Cup final.
Lane missed several good chances before former Bradford Park Avenue player Wilson struck a superb winner at St George’s Park, England’s new national headquarters.
Defenders Paul Atkinson and Aidey Tate excelled, as did midfield duo Steve Perrin and Nick Hey along with striker Dean Calcutt.
