Neil Parsley will be desperate to turn around his Farsley side’s Evo-Stik League form on Saturday as they prepare for a visit from struggling Wakefield.

Farsley were, until recently, behind the Division One North pacesetters but firmly in the chasing pack as they seek a second successive play-off finish.

But results over the last few weeks have been far from satisfactory and Farsley have dropped to sixth, having played more games than all the clubs above them.

With some of their promotion rivals in FA Trophy action this weekend, Parsley’s men could climb back up to fourth in the table with a home win over fifth-bottom Wakefield.

Yet it will not be a straightforward task as Wakefield have lost all eight of their home games to date, meaning they have earned all 11 of their current points total on the road.

This weekend’s result will all depend on which Farsley turns up – the one that racked up six straight league victories or the other that has now gone five without a win.

Suspensions for Josh Radcliffe, Matt Dempsey and Gareth Grant, added to long-term injuries suffered by Simeon Bambrook, Mark Jackson and Ben Jones, have all hindered Parsley’s planning.
