New Guiseley boss Terry Dolan is a lot more upbeat about tomorrow's trip to Ilkeston Town in the FA Trophy second-qualifying round after last Saturday saw him get off to a losing start.

"I have had a few more days to get to know the players and their strengths. It was a little bit in at the deep end last week," said former Bantams boss Dolan.

"This is an important game for the club but then they all are no matter what level you play your football at. Expectation levels are high at Guiseley and we don't want to disappoint.

"I went to watch Ilkeston play on Tuesday down at Lincoln and that gave me some idea of what we are going to be up against. Not many teams go to Lincoln and come away with a 2-1 win so I feel they are a useful side."

Dolan names a 17-strong squad for the cup tie with five substitutes allowed under FA rules.

However, he will have to wait until tomorrow morning to finalise the starting line-up as there are fitness doubts.

"We will have to see how Steve Dickinson is. he wasn't fit to keep goal last Saturday and didn't train during the week.

"Andy Wright had a nasty-looking kick on his calf muscle but recovered better than expected. He was able to join in with the players on Wednesday.

"Scott Jackson is still away so we don't have him to call on but these things are part and parcel of football. It gives other players an opportunity to get into the side."
