BRADFORD & Bingley were the only Premier Division winners on a day when rain caused widespread disruption across the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.

Opener Jack Edgar made 80 and skipper Scott Etherington (31no) finished the job as mid-table Bradford & Bingley edged home by two wickets against bottom team Scholes at Wagon Lane, despite the determined efforts of James Stansfield (6-41)

Scholes had been bowled out for 151 when batting first, Joe Duffy top scoring with 41 while Ryan Norris was the most successful bowler with 3-33.

The result means Scholes are 29 points from safety with just two games to go but they showed again here that they are determined to keep battling all the way.

All the remaining five games were abandoned but leaders Pudsey St Lawrence extended their lead to four points after picking up maximum batting points against Cleckheaton.

Second-placed Hanging Heaton were only able to secure three bowling points before the weather halted their game against relegation-threatened Morley.

Openers Mark Robertshaw and Adam Waite shared a stand of 174 as Pudsey St Lawrence made 246-2 declared against Cleckheaton. Robertshaw made 88 while Waite went on to score a fine 102 not out, an innings containing four sixes and 12 fours.

Skipper James Smith smashed four sixes as he scored 42 not out from just 15 balls in an unbroken third-wicket partnership of 72.

Cleckheaton skipper John Wood made his intentions clear by smashing two sixes and two fours in the first over of his side's reply which was bowled by Charlie Parker.

Wood had raced to 31 from 15 balls as Cleckheaton reached 62-1 off just 5.2 overs before the match was called off.

Title rivals Hanging Heaton soon had Morley in trouble at Bennett Lane as Tom Chippendale had Henry Rush caught by wicketkeeper Ismail Dawood off the first ball of the game. Then when David Stiff trapped James McNichol lbw, Morley were 1-2.

A succession of rain breaks checked Hanging Heaton's progress and Morley were 160-7 after 44 overs when play was abandoned, George Robson (37) and Luke Heinemann (30no) being the top scorers.

St Lawrence now have 272 points with Hanging Heaton on 268 and Farsley a further 15 back after their match at Lightcliffe was abandoned with them on 156-8 from 47.1 overs. Dan Hodgson (46) and James Wainman (35no) were the pick of the Farsley batsmen.

The match at New Farnley was abandoned after just 20.4 overs with Woodlands on 75-1, at which point skipper Tim Jackson was unbeaten on 45.

Only 20 overs were possible at Pudsey Congs, with the home side struggling to 89-4 against an East Bierley side fighting to avoid relegation. Joe Greaves was unbeaten on 42 when play was washed out.
