9:39pm

Three second half goals powered City to a deserved victory at Crawley tonight.

Quality finishes from James Hanson, Billy Knott and loan striker Mason Bennett maintained their impressive unbeaten start.

Jason Kennedy also hit the bar as the Bantams took control after the break, despite a quick equaliser from Crawley skipper Joe Walsh.

The home side, who had not conceded a goal in their first three games, finished well beaten as City made it seven points from a possible nine.

9:37pm

The whistle sounds and the points are in the bag...

9:36pm

Playing out time now. Great performance, great result this

9:32pm

Four minutes of stoppage time to play

9:30pm

It's Hanson again at the back post with a downward header bvlocked by Leacock in front of goal

9:29pm

City still looking for more. Surging run from Bennett and square cross to Hanson who fires over the bar

9:24pm

Yeates drive almost clears the stand as City take control

9:22pm

Knott's my vote for man of the match

9:21pm

City's final change. Dolan on for Knott with 11 minutes left

9:21pm

... but the blue wall holds firm

9:21pm

Corner for Crawley. The home side need something quickly here

9:20pm

And it's 3-1! Hanson outjumps Walsh and Mason Bennett coolly clips the ball over Jensen

9:15pm

And Crawley replace Bradley with Banya

9:14pm

Morais, who has worked really hard again, is being replaced by Yeates. He gets a standing ovation from the City fans

9:14pm

City close to a third as space opens up for Sheehan to have a crack. He hits it hard but wide - but Kennedy diverts it on to the Crawley bar!

9:11pm

Oyebanjo booked for going in late on Davies. Bit of an undercurrent developing here ...

9:07pm

Pickford and Tomlin have a bit of a set-to as the keeper takes his time retrieving the ball

9:06pm

Knott plays a one-two with Morais and then raps a low half-volley into the bottom corner!

9:05pm

City back in front - Billy Knott!

9:03pm

This game is a lot more open now ...

9:03pm

Bennett shot charged down on the edge of the Crawley penalty area and Knott lashes the rebound high and wide

9:00pm

Crawley make their first change. Edwards, who has been playing quite well, is replaced by Henderson. Must have got a knock

8:58pm

Finally some noise - well, a bit of clapping - from the home fans

8:57pm

That lead doesn't last long.... Dickson's corner is headed home by Walsh

8:56pm

City have to be on alert as Crawley look for quick response and win a corner

8:54pm

That's the first goal Crawley have conceded in 320 minutes this season! Proper reward for City's performance

8:52pm

City in front. Great move down the right and Darby's low cross comes through to HANSON who finds room to slam shot into the roof of the net

8:47pm

City make a change for the second half - and it's an expected one, Bennett for Mclean

8:39pm

@ParkerTandA we've had our quota of 1 penalty per season. We never get those shouts.

— Paul Jackson (@J4CKO71) August 19, 2014

8:33pm

Shots on target at each end ... and now it's half-time

8:33pm

Walsh shot blocked by Pickford before City break quickly and Morais drives straight at Jensen from 25 yards

8:32pm

Bit of a scramble in the box but City have bodies in the way

8:31pm

... and have time for a second

8:31pm

One minute of added time to play as Crawley take their first corner

8:31pm

Edwards dazzles his way into City box, through two challenges... but Pickford slides out to make the tackle. Crawley appeals for a penalty fall on deaf ears

8:30pm

McLeod threatens to nick the ball away from McArdle but the City defender stands firm in the box

8:29pm

Knott caught out trying to be clever in midfield. Davies takes no prisoners to slide into Edwards and stop Crawley break

8:26pm

Tidy work on City's right from Morais, Kennedy and Darby but the skipper's overhit cross is too long for Hanson

8:23pm

Mclean and Jensen is getting a tasty battle. Bit of chests out from the pair of them

8:22pm

Bawling tries a daisy-cutter from way out. Think that's a Bobson Bawling bobbler ...

8:20pm

Jensen takes it well under pressure from McArdle

8:20pm

Bit of indecision in the Crawley ranks and it's another City corner ...

8:15pm

Sheehan tries a shot from way out from a City free-kick but it is comfortably blocked by Leacock

8:14pm

Morais has also been booked for pulling back Edwards

8:13pm

First real opening for Crawley as Bawling finds room in the City box. Back four caught napping but the drive flies over the angle

8:13pm

More wifi issues.... Knott volley seems to strike the hand of Oyebanjo but referee Carl Berry ignores City's shouts for a penalty

8:08pm

Morais seems to have dropped into the "hole" role with Knott going to the left as City win a second corner

8:06pm

Good overlap from Oyebanjo but McArdle is equal to the cross

8:01pm

First long throw-in into the City box misses everyone and Edwards fails to control shooting chance from edge of the D

8:00pm

Foul is given  against the City striker and Jensen is not happy with his challenge. Bit of a coming together from the pair

8:00pm

Crawley nearly in trouble as Oyebanjo and Jensen get in a tangle. The keeper fails to hold the defender's back header and Mclean tries to nick the ball away.

7:59pm

Pickford makes a good catch from a flick header off his own man, Liddle

7:58pm

Jensen punches away, Knott turns it back into the box but Davies's attempted header comes off his shoulder

7:57pm

Corner for City - and the away fans, who are already making themselves heard, crank up a gear ...

7:56pm

Edwards again looking a threat with driving run into the box before McArdle can clear the danger

7:54pm

Decent turn of pace from Edwards to get cross past Sheehan but Davies meets it with a big boot

7:50pm

Former City loanee Dickson worms his way into the City box but is met by a firm block from Kennedy

7:49pm

Game kicks off and the Wifi drops off ..... But anyway, we're underway and Morais has already fired over from 20 yards.

7:39pm

City away fans bathed in sunshine on their side of the ground. That stand wasn't here last year ...

7:25pm

Good to see Danny Forrest get a mention after playing for both clubs. Didn't realise he made 70 appearances in two years with Crawley, scoring eight goals.

7:23pm

Crawley boss John Gregory full of praise for Jensen in the programme:"We have a keeper with huge experience and great reflexes."

City will have to do something nobody else has managed yet to get one past him

7:21pm

Can't say there's much of an atmosphere here. Might be slightly different the next midweek game...

7:10pm

Burnley legend Brian Jensen will be looking for another clean sheet in the Crawley goal.

The home side are yet to concede a goal this season since the 39-year-old arrived.

He did have a brief pre-season trial at City last year, playing in the opening friendly at Guiseley.

Crawley make one change from Saturday's win over Swindon. Midfielder Conor Henderson is replaced by the magnificently-named Bobson Bawling.

CRAWLEY: Jensen, Oyebanjo, Leacock, Walsh, Bradley, Edwards, Bawling, Smith, Dickson, Tomlin, McLeod. Subs: Henderson, Young, Banya, Essam, Rose, O'Connor, Richefond.

7:00pm

PP said he didn't want to sign people who he didn't trust to start - so lets hope Moraiscan prove that he can be a starter #bcafc

6:59pm

6:59pm

The Beast enters the arena... Brian Jensen goes out to begin his warm up. Not often you see one keeper who's more than twice the age of the other!

6:53pm

Crawley Town unbeaten until tonight!! #bcfc pic.twitter.com/ueAJkfkPHz

— Mark Westmoreland (@WestmorelandM) August 19, 2014

6:50pm

Aaron Mclean makes his first start of the season - and it will be the first time he has started alongside James Hanson since March 22 at Shrewsbury.

It's a City league debut for Filipe Morais after his first appearance at Morecambe last week.

CITY: Pickford; Darby, McArdle, Davies, Sheehan; Liddle, Kennedy, Morais; Knott; Mclean, Hanson. Subs: Meredith, Dolan, Yeates, Routis, McBurnie, Bennett, Williams

6:47pm

Three changes for City then ..... and Mclean starts!

Mclean replaces Bennett; Sheehan in for Meredith; Morais in for Yeates. Knott will play at the top of the diamond.

6:41pm

Expect team news in any minute. Would think Alan Sheehan will be straight back in - the interesting one is whether Aaron Mclean will be handed his first start of the season

6:27pm

Expect #bcafc to end their unbeaten start to the season this evening as I make my 2014/15 debut

— Stebbs(@DStebbings) August 19, 2014

6:26pm

The players take a leisurely stroll on the Crawley pitch. James Meredith wearing white headphones ...

6:23pm

Good evening and welcome from West Sussex as City make the long hike to Crawley.

There are two unbeaten records on the line tonight - the Red Devils have won all three of their games 1-0 so far.

For the fashion conscious, City will be wearing blue shirts, black shorts, black socks!

Another positive start to the season. Nice to know we're not just relying on one player to score (Wells) and we've more strength in depth. PP's signing look to really be gelling! CTID

Get in!!! I know it's early days but we're 2nd in the league!!
Worried about Pickford though, starting to be abit of a trend with the goals he's letting in and teams will pick up in this. Would like Williams to be given a shot in a league game.
Anyway!! Bring in the Posh!!
Then......Guess who...... Mr we've got Billy Sharp and going to win the league but lost 2-0 hahaha

Even after an outstanding display like tonights somebody has to find fault about something but why have a go at Pickford? Listening to the radio commentary it sounded like had a good game, making several excellent saves and even making a good tackle to break up an attack. He is still young and learning the game but there is no doubt he will be a top class goalkeeper and will do a good job for City this season.

From crosses and corners he doesn't look comfortable at all. I hope it goes with experience but it's the one thing he really struggles with and you can see that

Very good performance all round. Chasing, harrying, and when we had the ball some really good passing and movement. In the 2nd half City looked pretty comfortable. Apart from 1 or 2 moments the City defence was rock solid. Midfield inventive and city attacked as a team Grounds for optimism but Mclean must be bit cleverer than he showed tonight Looks like he needs a (proper) goal.
