The first-team awards were spread out at Thackley’s presentation evening.

James Firth picked up the managers’ player of the year, and the committee’s player of the year choice was Damian Hopkins, while the players voted for Paul Whiteley.

The reserves, under-19s and under-17 sides were also honoured on the night with two awards each.

Just less than a month of the close season remains for the Dennyboys’ as their players have been told to report back for pre-season training on Tuesday, June 24.

The club have also confirmed that they are having to streamline their main teams so there will be no under-19s next season. They will be running first, reserve and under-18 teams only.
