Young prospect Jack Stanley enhanced his growing reputation by finishing third at a top invitational open competition in Ipswich.

The ten-year-old Idle C of E Primary School pupil clinched all-round bronze at the Pipers Vale Challenge with a score of 75.10, not far behind the runner-up (75.40) with the gold medal winner on 76.10.

There were 51 boys in the under-ten age category, from clubs across the country, and Jack also picked a couple of individual bronze medals on vault and the pommel.

He trains for 15 hours each week, finishing school at 3.30pm and then going straight to the City of Leeds Gymnastics Club in Seacroft until 7.30pm.
